About Lab

Welcome to our Sustainable Materials research group! We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of materials design by harnessing the power of polymers and colloids. With our sights set on the realms of environmental and civil engineering, we strive to create a sustainable future. Our primary research and education focus is to transform waste-derived resources into solutions in the field of materials and environment: pollutant removal systems, soil and ground improvement techniques, functional coatings, etc. We construct functional materials from abundant natural biomass resources such as cellulose, chitosan, DNA and their derivatives. Through chemical approaches, we develop soilutions for efficient conversion of waste plastics into new, functional materials that not only combat plastic pollution but also promote sustainable resource utilization.

Join us to work together as we lead the charge toward a greener, more sustainable future. A more detailed information about our research can be found on the Research page.
